I received the same for 450, 000 pounds in the 2011 CNN awards promo! on April 23 and being in Australia I thought this odd. Anyway all I had to do to confirm my suspicions was to Google it up and well here it is ...

same here i received 950, 000.00 GBP on Marcch 23 notification via winning a pre-numbered ticket. when i replied loud demanding that this be clarified i was 5 days after a verification report complete with CNN-UN-Donation award including a form to be filled up.
I made a research in the internet including the United Nations in Manila and discovered that theres no such a thing. The catch is the payment, one will have to pay via the messengerial service since the winner cannot go to UK to collect personally
technology has found its form in international rackets. |

| I also received the same through email that I won 950, 000 GBP. I couldn't believed my eyes because here in the Philippines, our first practice was, to be well informed on the things such as this, if you have not joined any lottery or raffles, or promotions, never believe that you actually won. That's why, i googled it, and here it is. I knew it was a bogus. Shame on these people who might think Filipinos are idiot. We may be poor but we are not idiots! We work hard for our family. We work hard to be useful for our country. Shame on you, whoever you are! |

I have reported it to my service provider and they told me that the scam is getting around. They have launched their own investigation into it. |

| i don't know...a certain Mr. Ben George called me up thru phone that he was with this UK based bank that a certain amount of money in GBP was transferred to this paying UK based bank. All i have to do is to activate that money (an activation fee is required) for them to trANSFER IT TO MY SELECTED BANK HERE IN THE pHILIPPINES. i really fall for it... |
